Top Twenty One Favourite Musical Show Tunes

Hey all! So, I've been debating on what kind of post to write. It's been quite a while since posting on here. But school is kinda kicking my butt right now. Who knew science could be so torturous? If you all didn't know, here are my classes this year: Speech, Genres of Lit. Mystery and Horror, Algebra II Honours, Chemistry, Anatomy, Psychology, Concert Choir (Also a part of symphonic choir), Econ, and French III. Anatomy and Chemistry is really hard for me right now. To be honest, I don't think I've ever struggled so much. So it's been school, homework, and work for most of my life. I finished my second skirt, which I will have a post on sometime soon.

So on a brighter note, here I am, narrowing down my top twenty one favorite musical show tunes. They're in no particular order.

1. No one is alone from Into the Woods
This song is one that I have been really liking for a while. It's such a meaningful song, in my opinion. And I have to say, Anna Kendrick and James Corden are pretty good singers, obviously.

2. The Phantom of the Opera from The Phantom of the Opera
How can you not like this song? Yes, it may be overrated, but it is so beautiful.

3. Defying Gravity from Wicked
I love Wicked, though I haven't seen the show or listened to the entire soundtrack. I feel like I can just relate to Elphaba a lot. Defying Gravity is just amazing. When it comes to relative music, this is my song.

4. Memory from Cats
Ugh, I really love this song a lot. It's such a sad song, but with the "light at the end of the tunnel". It's sung to the younger cats from the older, and it's just great.

5. This World Will Remember Us from Bonnie and Clyde
AH! I love this song so much. Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes *Swoon* That's all I'm gonna say.

6. One Day More from Les Misérables
Typical, I know. But it's amazing. If you haven't listened to it, then you should.

7. In My Own Little Corner from Cinderella
I never knew that I already heard this song before, but apparently I have. But with it being sung by Laura Osnes, it's the best.

8. Til I Hear You Sing from Love Never Dies
Ramin Karimloo. That's it.

9. Getting to Know You from The King and I
Gah. My favourite musical as a wee one!

10. Carrying the Banner from Newsies
IT'S A FINE LIFE CARRYIN THE BANNER THROUGH IT ALL

11. The Final Lair from The Phantom of the Opera
TRACK DOWN THIS MURDERER HE MUST BE FOUND
*turns to*
christine, I love you

12. Before the Performance from Love Never Dies
This is the most underrated song in this entire musical. Period.

13. Dyin' Ain't So Bad from Bonnie and Clyde
I really wish I could sing this song.......

14. Satisfied from Hamilton
Wow. Just wow. I listen to this on repeat in Anatomy........

15. In My Life from Les Misérables
Amanda Seyfried, can I have your voice?

16. Anything Goes from Anything Goes
Innnnnnnnnn olden days a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking but now God knowwwwws anything goes!
17. Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid
I have to say this version is better than the original Disney movie. *ducks flying tomatoes*

18. Devil Take the Hindmost from Love Never Dies
This is like the insult/sing off between the two

19. Overture from The Phantom of the Opera (YES, THIS COUNTS)
This.

20. This World Will Remember Me from Bonnie and Clyde
This world will remember me. It will, I promise.

21. Drink with Me from Les Misérables
Oh, let's go march to the barricades and drink and then die, 'kay?

  1. Aww, I'm sorry school as been hard! I'll keep you in my prayers.
I love sooooo many of these. It would take too long to list them all, but suffice to say you have very good taste. ;)

Haha, I think I might like the Sierra Boggess version of "Part of your World" better, too. :)

"'Til I Hear You Sing".....goodness. SO beautiful. :')

    1. Aw, thank you. It's been really hard in both classes, but as Anna Bates say, "Keep on, as they say in the Navy" :) I love Sierra Boggess' voice so much. And Ramin is just amazing..... If only the guys in my choir could sing half as well as him! :P
